Visual Scanning
The Aphasia Visual Scanning program has been designed to promote searching for and identifying letters and numbers in a field of 60 characters in 4 rows of 15 characters each in a left to right direction. It will generate a new field (table) of characters each time the next command button is clicked or tapped. It uses a modified form of a random generator to produce the tables. So the probability of showing the same table is small.
Recognition - Personal
The ID-It program allows the user to import photo files of places and things, people and food items for identification. It will present the alphabet and letters and numbers (0-9) either in order or randomized and present small words (such as out, but, in, etc.). A voice interface is included for those not able to use the command buttons. Photo files are imported from a cell phone (or other sources) as long as they are in .jpg format. Small words can be added or removed using the maintenance program.
Build Sentence - Practice
The Aphasia Build Sentences program presents a picture or series of pictures (upto 4) that are described by the words in a simple sentence. Each word can be annouced by the computer by clicking it or if the computer is equipped with a touch screen by touching the word. Optionally the whole sentence can be annouced by the computer. Additional photo/picture files (.jpg format) and sentences can be added using the maintenance program.
